Creative Inspiration at the Museum of Contemporary Craft

Again in Portland, this small museum amazes. A few of my favorites: Above are traditional weaving materials — nettle, spruce root, balling twine and BRK Rives paper — by Sara Siestreem. The wall is about 7 feet high. Love.

Below: a complex ceramic piece by Ryan Labar, “The Evolution and the American Myth of the Individual”; vinyl designs on paper by Hilary Pfeifer; and a ceramic “Squash Sculpture” by Lisa Conway.

There’s so much more. I left thoroughly inspired.
