Blooming ornamental pear trees mark the start of spring for me — at least for the ten or so years I’ve been fortunate to be their neighbor. They look the same every season, yet I never miss the chance to snap new photos of their flowers. They are special enough to only last about a week. Here in Chicago, a storm can knock every petal to the ground.
On a related note — spring meaning new beginnings — this is my last week at my job. Next week I focus on creativity, full time, finally. (See my new blog title and url? I’m getting ready!)
