Days 36 and 37: Being Finished With What is Unfinished

A good way to close out one year and start another: with each unfinished project, either resolve to finish it or declare yourself finished with it and move on. This will satisfy my need to organize, classify and plan.

Here’s one I am finished with. There, I’ve said it. This ruggy thing was an experiment, anyway, and it hadn’t been touched in the whole year. There are others in this category, and I’ll be glad to have back the space they’ve been occupying. I think my creative room is best for digital work.

Here are two I will finish. Little booklets just for me. The first is a collection of designs I think would make good ties, but I don’t want to make ties, so I decided on a booklet instead. The next is a group of my favorite Instagram posts (my own) I’ll make into a similar booklet. It’s not a lot of work to do this, and they don’t take up much space in the meantime.

What’s left in this room to deal with, besides dust, which I’m saving for last, is paper. Files and piles of it. If I can’t organize the paper quickly enough, I’m going to have to post something creative about it.
